Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in providing exceptional nursing care to residents of all ages in long-term care settings. Under the guidance of registered nurses or physicians, you will apply your nursing knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on residents' well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents in your care.
• Assist in the assessment of residents’ health status and administer medications or treatments as prescribed.
• Document all interactions with residents thoroughly, including care, medication management, and other relevant activities.
• Cultivate effective relationships with residents, healthcare professionals, and families, ensuring clear communication and confidentiality.
• Participate actively as a key member of an interdisciplinary care team, contributing to care plans and resident education.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations as they arise.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to support the care facility and its residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Must hold an unencumbered LPN license and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Current completion of required department-specific competencies and certifications.
• Continuing education and competency training must be maintained annually.
