Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The ideal candidate will demonstrate nursing principles, competency in resident care, and the ability to respond effectively in emergent situations.

The LPN will:

• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Counsel residents and families on treatment plans and prevention strategies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Must hold an unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing board.
• Completion of a pre-licensure nursing program that includes supervised clinical experience across the lifespan.
• Must maintain required competencies and certifications.
