Level I - Mammography Technologist

The Mammography Technologist will perform diagnostic and screening mammography and DEXA procedures as ordered by qualified physicians. Utilize advanced equipment to obtain essential images for diagnosis while adhering to KSC Radiology Department policies, procedures, and protocols. This position involves performing mammography and DEXA studies, along with general radiographic studies and other procedures as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED; Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
• 40 hours of mammography training approved by the ARRT to fulfill initial FDA & TMB requirements
• ARRT (R)(M) MRT-General Certificate
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• 2+ years of experience in mammography or 1+ years at KSC
• X-ray and/or SCNB experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft, along with PACS and RIS experience
• Familiarity with quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements in mammography
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates in Applied Science - Radiology Technology
• Experience in mammography and SCNB procedures
• Bilingual skills

Essential Duties:

• Perform diagnostic and/or screening mammography and DEXA procedures, including general radiographic studies, aligning with clinic protocols.
• Engage in Technical Quality Control measures, maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Utilize RIS and PACS effectively, documenting any issues to ensure high quality imaging.
• Adhere to safety protocols, demonstrating proper use of shielding and sterile techniques when necessary.
• Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and maintain licensure and certifications.
• Communicate effectively with patients and coworkers, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Compensation for this role ranges from $34.23 to $61.15 per hour, based on factors like local labor markets, education, and experience. A comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, and more, subject to eligibility.
