About the Role:
A leading Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Legal Project Management (LPM) Specialist or Senior Specialist to join its Innovation and Value Department. This role is instrumental in creating, tracking, and reporting on alternative fee arrangements and matter budget progress. The LPM Specialist will work closely with attorneys and internal teams to ensure budgets align with expectations and provide actionable insights to support client satisfaction and firm profitability.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to scope matters and develop client budget proposals.
• Lead implementation and management of the firm's budget dashboard and related tools.
• Monitor financial alerts and escalate budget issues as needed.
• Track legal budgets, staffing, timelines, and deliverables; escalate when scope changes.
• Support and enhance legal project management tools (e.g., Clocktimizer, Iridium, BigHand).
• Develop custom budget reporting for client portals.
• Prepare financial and client status reports.
• Automate workflows and create dashboards for matter planning and tracking.
• Develop and share best practices, templates, and reference materials.
• Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, and internal teams.
• Conduct post-project reviews and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in project and budget management, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management, or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, modeling).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data cubes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: Specialist $80,000 - $90,000, based on location, experience, and skillset. Senior up to $110,000
• Annual discretionary bonuses and profit-sharing contributions.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid work arrangement.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
