Lead Technician

The Lead Technician will play a crucial role in preparing and maintaining customer units for lease. This role involves painting, drywall repair, patching, and light carpentry. The technician will perform repairs such as replacing lightbulbs, locks, and other appliances, as well as patching holes in walls and painting. Additionally, the technician will handle janitorial duties like garbage disposal and general facility upkeep.

Responsibilities:

• Paint, repair drywall, and perform light carpentry to prepare units for leasing.
• Conduct routine maintenance including replacing lightbulbs, locks, and appliances.
• Patch holes in walls and ensure all painting is completed to a high standard.
• Perform janitorial duties such as garbage disposal and maintaining facility cleanliness.

Essential Skills:

• Prior experience in painting, carpentry, or general contracting.
• Valid state-issued license.
• Consistent work history in appliance repair, light fixtures, and remodeling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in construction, painting, drywall, and carpentry.

Work Environment:

The position offers two openings: one at Skidmore Apartments and another at The Grove. The work schedule is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotational on-call duties. The team comprises 3-5 other technicians, providing a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saratoga Springs, New York.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
