Lead Structural Designer

Amentum is currently seeking a Lead Structural Designer with experience in developing 3D models for steel, concrete, and masonry for the Nuclear Projects division in Oak Ridge, TN.

• 10+ years' experience

• Designer experience in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.

• Detailing experience for steel and concrete.

• Ability to autonomously develop 3D Models.

• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD suite of tools

• 1 year experience working in detailing shop or in field at project site.

• Experience working on industrial projects.

• Experience with REVIT highly preferred

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with heavy industrial and nuclear projects.

• Q Clearance

• Experience with Tekla Structures

• Experience with Microstation

• Experience with Smart Plant 3D

Essential Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking and standing may occur during a normal workday in connection with travel to and from meeting and conferences. May transport light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.

Work Environment:

Cubical environment

May be in a restricted work area.

Criticality of Attendance:

Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift in the office in Oak Ridge. Except for STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.

Equipment and Machines:

Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies. Personal computer and required CAD software

Other Essential Functions:

Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance.

Must pass drug testing.

Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
