Location Description
The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. Rissman. Set on a 10-acre campus, it is an incomparable property for both its city access and sense of complete retreat.
Overview
We are seeking a licensed and passionate Lead Massage Practitioner to elevate our guest experience and support team excellence. This role combines hands-on expertise in massage with a collaborative approach to developing service standards, training, and procedures in partnership with the Spa Supervisor and Wellness Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Massage & Bodywork Leadership

• Collaborate with spa leadership to co-develop and implement treatment standards, training protocols, and quality benchmarks
• Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and ongoing skill development for the massage team
• Ensure consistency in technique, guest care, sanitation, and safety in accordance with California state regulations
• Support onboarding and continuing education for massage therapists
• Strong understanding and salesmanship of retail and home care recommendations for ongoing team training and individual team goal setting, in conjunction with spa leadership
• Assist with spa receptionist and lobby coverage as needed to ensure excellent guest service and smooth operations
• Support spa leadership with projects that enhance team efficiency and guest satisfaction
• Assist with supply and product ordering, organization, and inventory management

Qualifications

• Valid California Massage Therapy (required)
• 5+ years of professional experience in both massage and esthetics, ideally in a luxury spa setting
• Previous experience in team training, education, or leadership preferred
• Proficiency in multiple massage modalities and advanced skincare treatments
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and guest service skills
• Savvy computer skills for general administration tasks
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $45.00/Hr. - $55.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
