Lead Mammography Technologist

As the Lead Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for operating equipment to produce diagnostic images based on physician orders. This position includes the use of mammography, DEXA studies, and various radiographic techniques, all while adhering to the KSC Radiology Department's policies and protocols. You will take on a leadership role, ensuring team development and departmental success while also being open to additional technical and non-technical duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize mammography and DEXA equipment to obtain images for diagnostic evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements.
• Lead a team and promote a successful and efficient working environment.
• Provide training and guidance to team members.
• Maintain accurate records in the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT (R)(M) certification and MRT-General Certificate.
• 3+ years of experience in mammography or 1+ year at KSC with quality control experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Applied Science-Radiology Technology.
• Experience with X-ray, DEXA, and SCNB procedures.
• Bilingual abilities.
