Your Role:

In this dynamic role, you will be an indispensable expert in managing and enhancing our U.S. benefit programs. Your responsibilities will include overseeing compliance activities, implementing process improvements, guiding open enrollment, and being a resource for associates and stakeholders. You will utilize your analytical expertise to stay ahead of regulatory changes, driving innovative solutions that enrich Staples' benefits offerings.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in U.S. benefits administration, covering health & welfare, retirement, and compliance.
• Thorough understanding of federal and state regulations impacting benefits, such as ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA.
• Demonstrated capability to prepare and submit compliance reports (e.g., Form 5500, ACA filings) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficient in HRIS, benefits administration systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of benefits administration experience within a large, multi-state organization.
• Experience collaborating with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants, including performance oversight and issue resolution.
• Professional certifications such as CEBS, PHR/SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.
• Previous experience supporting open enrollment processes, including system configuration/testing and employee communications.
