- Specialty Insurance (cyber, professional indemnity, etc.)
This hybrid role is ideal for a seasoned professional passionate about developing and validating cutting-edge risk models that support global insurance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber & Cat Analytics: Leverage vendor cyber models and analytics to support risk management and underwriting.
- Model Evaluation & Research: Validate model components, develop benchmarks, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Model Development: Design and enhance risk models for cyber, man-made accumulation risks, and natural catastrophes.
- Knowledge Sharing: Lead training sessions and collaborate across teams to share insights and research.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (advanced degree or ACAS/FCAS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cyber risk modeling, actuarial science, or catastrophe modeling within the P&C (re)insurance industry
- Proficiency with vendor cyber models and related frameworks
- Strong background in statistics, simulation, and stochastic modeling
- Programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
- Familiarity with man-made accumulation risks and catastrophe modeling
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Project management experience is a plus
