Grounds & Facilities Laborer

Join our hardworking team dedicated to maintaining clean, safe, and functional outdoor and facility spaces. This hands-on role supports a wide range of maintenance and operational tasks across building exteriors, roadways, and landscaped areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Carry out physically demanding tasks with minimal prior experience required
2. Load/unload materials from trucks and transport them using carts, dollies, or wheelbarrows
3. Organize and stack supplies for storage or disposal
4. Clear debris, collect recyclables, and manage waste removal
5. Excavate, backfill, and level terrain using manual tools (shovels, rakes, tampers)
6. Remove snow, shovel concrete, clean drainage systems, and trim vegetation
7. Operate landscaping equipment such as power mowers and leaf blowers
8. Clean rooftops, gutters, and assist with flooring removal projects
9. Relocate heavy items including furniture, appliances, and equipment
10. Apply sand or deicer to icy surfaces and maintain walkways
11. Support seasonal groundskeeping and general site upkeep
12. Participate in emergency spill response efforts
13. Obtain and maintain asbestos handling certification (training provided)
14. May serve as a certified flagger or fire watch when needed
15. Perform additional duties or assist other trades as required

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Physical stamina and reliability
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Experience in janitorial, landscaping, or construction environments a plus
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently or in teams
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.41/hr.
