Position Summary

This position is responsible for washing dishes, pots and pans as well as cleaning kitchen and loading dock to ensure those areas are kept clean, sanitized, dry, and well maintained and organized at all times.

Scheduling

This is a Full-Time position working 5 days a week that requires the flexible availability to work any scheduled shift weekdays, weekends and holidays. The schedule will change weekly to support business demands, and will include both AM and PM shifts and occasional special events shifts. AM shifts start at 7 AM and PM shifts start at 3 PM.

Key Responsibilities

Clean kitchen cooking and prep areas, and outside loading dock.

Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, ensuring floors are kept dry and clean at all times.

Collects and removes trash, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers

Adhere to all sanitation regulations, company standards and guidelines regarding cleanliness and food preparation are met.

Assist the Cooks and Servers as and when necessary, occasionally plate food before service.

Clean, sanitizes, and put away dishes and related flatware/serviceware following established procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required.
• Able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs., and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance; able to push, pull without assistance pull up to 200 lbs.
• Clean, sanitizes, and put away dishes in a timely manner.
• Work together with the kitchen team as needed.
• Ability to continuously stand for prolonged periods, up to entire shift; with frequent and repeated lifting, bending, stooping, and extending arms, to perform essential job functions.
• Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation, especially focusing on wearing required PPE, and proper cleaning and sanitizing of workstation surfaces, side boards, and refrigerators.
• Strictly follow all required cross-contamination protocols.
• Requires a valid Food Handler's Certification.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. Due to the seasonal nature and business hours of a hotel, candidates must realize it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift as business demands. Additionally, it may be required to assist other positions in department as needed or as directed by immediate supervisor.
