Jr. Buyer

1. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Junior Buyer is who coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies, to meet cost, delivery, quality, and schedule objectives by performing the following duties. The Junior Buyer will also expedite all departmental open orders/items to ensure Delivery Dock and/or Delivery Need dates are met.

1. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
2. 1. Review requisitions and Buyer Action Report daily. Negotiate with vendors to obtain product or service information for best as price, availability, and delivery.
   2. Consult catalogs and interview suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
   3. Monitors supplier's cost against market and commodity price fluctuations.
   4. Determine method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid.
   5. Prepare purchase orders or bid request.
   6. Verifies and acknowledges vendor lead times against need date.
   7. Maintain procurement records and documentation.
   8. Works with related departments to resolve and process material non conformances.
   9. Work with suppliers to meet order lead time requirements.
   10. Expedite delivery of goods as required.
   11. Maintain inventory levels and turns to achieve company objectives.
   12. Required to follow verbal and written instructions.
   13. Maintains safe and clean work environment.
   14. Perform all duties following all safety processes, procedures, and guidelines.
   15. Other duties as requested by management.
3. REQUIRED EDUCATION :
   1. High School diploma required.
   2. Minimum: Associates degree (AA) or equivalent vocational/technical two-year school programs.
