Job Summary:

As an Interventional Radiology Float Technician, you will perform specialized imaging procedures, including angio and complex vascular and neuro interventional procedures, while directly assisting Radiologists and Physician Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients, selecting accurate anatomical and technical parameters.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormalities or changes.
• Adhere to radiation safety procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay alert and prioritize patient safety at all times.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Educational Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.

Experience:

• No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent use of vision and hearing for patient assessments and communication.
• Capable of lifting/moving patients and objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent data entry and use of hands/arms for various tasks.

Required Professional Licenses/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor - American Heart Association (AHA)
• ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Radiologic Technologists License applicable to your state.
