A California hospital is seeking their next Interim Director, Critical Areas!

The Position

The Interim Director of Critical Areas will be responsible for the 24-hour oversight of operations throughout five Critical Care areas including medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Abdominal Surgery ICU, Neuro ICU, and Stepdown. The Interim Director will collaborate closely with staff, physicians, supervisors, and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure consistent high-quality patient care and optimal performance throughout the department. This leader will develop and implement departmental goals and processes including strategic plans, standards, clinical goals, administrative operations, legal, and compliance regulations. This leader will be responsible for the maintenance of staffing operations including hiring, firing, orientations, continued education, and mentorship. Must be available to start within 23 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree is required. Active CA RN license is required. Union experience is strongly preferred.

Compensation Details

Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits. The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
