Interim Controller

This full-time, on-site role requires an experienced accounting leader with expertise in coding expenses, revenue, and profit and loss (P&L) statements. The position involves immediate responsibilities in cleaning up the company's books, including addressing issues such as double payments. There is significant growth potential within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team with a focus on coding expenses, revenue, and P&L statements.
• Identify and rectify discrepancies in financial records, such as double payments.
• Develop and implement solutions to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
• Provide leadership and supervision to the accounting team, drawing on prior supervisory experience.
• Demonstrate successful problem-solving skills with concrete examples of past management success.

Essential Skills

• Strong accounting skills with the ability to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Competence in general ledger management, reconciliation, month-end processes, and financial reporting.
• Prior supervisory experience with proven success in leadership roles.

This is a contract position based out of Simsbury, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $52.88/hr.
