Join our team as an Inbound Materials Handler, where your skills in inventory management and product handling will make a significant impact! You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of incoming merchandise, contributing to our overall success. Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety standards while operating equipment, actively identifying and addressing unsafe practices.
- Unload diverse categories of merchandise from trailers, containers, and trucks.
- Match skid or box counts to Proof of Delivery documentation and report any discrepancies.
- Efficiently place skids in designated areas on or near the dock, address Vendor Compliance issues as needed, and manage packing lists.
- Receive and process product batches including vendor stock, returns, and small package shipments.
- Store products in various locations, utilizing appropriate powered equipment when necessary to reach heights of up to building ceilings.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all corrections are made before releasing products to inventory.
- Follow instructions to retrieve and replace items from reserve locations.
- Act as a trainer for new team members, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and the understanding of departmental changes.
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team setting.
- Proficient in reading and matching numerical and alphabetical characters accurately.
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in warehouse operations with a focus on alphanumeric or RF-directed stocking.
- Familiarity with automotive parts.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
