Salary Range: $33.88 - $47.91 Per Hour (Hiring Range) - Pay Offers Are Determined By Experience And Internal Equity

Shift: FT - Nights

Unit Description: The UNC Health Rex Cardiac Medicine Intermediate Care Unit Is Located On The 7th Floor Of The Heart And Vascular Hospital. This 24 Bed Unit Provides Intermediate Level Care To Patients With Cardiac Conditions And Multiple Complex Co-Morbidities. This Includes Patients With Heart Failure, Dysrhythmias, Heart Attacks, Pre- And Post-Cardiac/Vascular Procedure, As Well As Medical Patients With A Strong Cardiac History. The Staff On This Unit Serves Adult And Geriatric Patients. Our Rooms Are Equipped With Ge Monitors At The Bedside And A Computer To Support Provision Of Care To Our Complex Cardiac Patients. On Each Of Our Units, Care Is Provided Through A Team Approach That Includes Nurses, Care Managers, App's, Physicians, Pharmacists, Care Managers, Chaplains, Patient Care Technicians And Secretaries. Specialized Technicians Observe Patient Rhythms In The Telemetry Command Center Providing Support To The Team And Continual Surveillance For Rhythm Changes.

Job Description: Provides Competent Clinical Nursing Care Consistent With Professional Standards. Reporting And Accountable To The Nurse Manager/Director, The Clinical Nurse Is Responsible For Coordinating And Delivering Patient Care Utilizing The Nursing Process In A Hospital Setting.

Requirements:

• Education Requirements: Graduation From A School Of Professional Nursing. If Hired After January 6, 2014, Must Be Enrolled Within Four Years Of Employment, And Obtain A Bachelor's Degree With A Major In Nursing Or A Master's Degree With A Major In Nursing Within Seven Years Of Employment Date.
• Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed To Practice As A Registered Nurse In The State Of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (Bls) For Healthcare Provider Certification
• Professional Experience Requirements: One (1) Year Of Nursing Experience.
