Imaging Technician Assistant

Imaging Technician Assistant role at Sutter Health .

Location: San Francisco, CA. Employment type: Full-time. Schedule: Monday - Friday. Shift hours: 8. Weekly hours: 40.

Responsibilities

• Enhances the operational efficiency of Imaging Services by directly assisting the imaging technologist(s).
• Perform a variety of tasks to improve the flow of patients, supplies and information to, from, and within the Imaging department.
• Prepare patient rooms, manage stock/inventory, coordinate patient transport, and assist with occasional reception/scheduling duties as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of safe body mechanics and ability to lift and position patients using best practices.
• Clear communication (read, write, speak) with patients, family members and staff.
• Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions and process requests quickly under general supervision.
• Customer service, professional demeanor, and ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods; ability to work in a flexible environment.
• Medical terminology familiarity; ability to establish and maintain filing systems; answer telephones.

Salary

Pay Range: $32.72 to $40.90 per hour. The salary range may vary by location and is part of the total rewards package.
