Position Summary
- Glenbard Township High School District 87 is seeking a qualified candidate who will perform duties and responsibilities necessary to support Human Resources.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have extensive clerical skills; knowledge of school procedures, preferred.
- Able to operate office equipment, data entry, maintain records, and assist in scheduling
- Detailed-oriented, forward-thinking, and able to work independently
- Strong organizational skills; workflows change forcing you to adapt to new circumstances and deadlines.
- Must be professional in demeanor and communicate clearly.
- Should have good written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.
- Strong technical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Excel applications and knowledge of G-Suite tools.
- Knowledge of social media in a professional setting desired.
- Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.
- Processing ESP onboarding and offboarding received from hiring managers.
- Enters and maintains data in the HR software for all ESP employees
- Must be able to maintain accurate personnel record files.
- Assist with submitting Worker Compensation reports.
- Assist with gathering employment data for IDES claims.
- Maintain HR G-mail accounts.
- Assist with job posting and tracking of employment opportunities.
- Assist with time and attendance calendars for FMLA/LOA.
- Assist with the professional social media functions of the HR department.
- Assist with the collection of data and reports that will be used for collective bargaining
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media.
- Ability to write professional communications.
- Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from individuals and groups
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community members
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities
- Ability to perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, the ability to withstand long-term use of video display terminals (VDT) is required.
- The employee may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds such as reference books.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The pace of work tasks would be considered as fast.
- Work is usually conducted at one job site, however, on occasion, this employee will be required to attend meetings, conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as assigned.
