House Supervisor Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe age-appropriate direct and indirect patient care while practicing within the scope of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Facility: Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital

Shift: Per Diem Varying Shift Times

Salary Range: Pay based on experience.

Department Description: The Nursing Administration teams at Samaritan Health Services are committed to providing leadership and operational support for our hospitals.

Experience & Education/Qualifications

1. Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required. BSN preferred.

2. Healthcare Provider BLS required.

3. Two (2) years experience in a hospital required.

4. Experience in Critical Care/Trauma preferred.

5. PCH Nursing Administration:

• ACLS required.
• TNCC NRP and PALS required within six (6) months of hire.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

1. Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards values lifestyles and ages.

2. Adaptability/Flexibility: Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations. Ability to adjust actions in relation to others and adapt to offer best possible care to patients.

3. Communication and team building: Leads effectively with excellent verbal and written communication. Delegates and initiates/manages cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
