As a Registered Professional Nurse (RN), you will adhere to our mission, vision, and values, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. Through effective communication, collaboration, and accountability, you will support the healthcare team in creating positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Standards of Practice: Utilize the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice to guide care through assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assessment: Collect data relevant to the patient's health and healthcare needs.
• Diagnosis: Analyze data to determine actual and potential health issues.
• Outcomes Identification: Individualize expected outcomes based on the patient's situation.
• Planning: Develop and adjust care plans to achieve expected outcomes.
• Coordination of Care: Ensure seamless care delivery and transitions.
• Health Education: Promote health and safety through effective teaching strategies.
• Evaluation: Review progress towards achieving health outcomes.

Standards of Professional Performance: Engage in behaviors reflecting accountability, ethics, cultural congruence, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, and continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Must have current BCLS certification within one month of hire.
• Experience: RN experience is foundational; encourage participation in the SPIRE clinical advancement program.
• Licensure: Must hold an active Connecticut RN license; clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.
• Special Skills: All RNs are encouraged to pursue growth through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.

Physical Demands: This role requires prolonged standing, walking, and physical engagement in patient care. Nurses may encounter various health conditions and situations, including end-of-life care. Must be able to assist with lifting patients ranging from 5 to 300 pounds. Moderate stress and risks associated with patient care require resilience and adaptability.
