Locum APP (PA/NP) - Hematology Oncology (Clinic Only)

About the Opportunity:

Hospital in Waterford, Connecticut, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) with a background in Hematology Oncology to provide locum coverage in our outpatient clinic for six months, from July 1st through December 31st, 2025. This is a Monday through Friday position with no call, no weekend responsibilities, and no holiday work. The ability to see benign hematology patients independently is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

Providing comprehensive care to hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
Conducting patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
Developing and implementing patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physician(s).
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Prescribing medications as appropriate and in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
Providing patient education and counseling on treatment plans and disease management.
Strongly Preferred: Independently managing benign hematology cases.

Preferred Skills: Ability to see and manage benign hematology patients independently.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No call, no weekends, no holidays).

Coverage Type: Clinic Only.

Minimum Experience: Experience as an APP in Hematology Oncology.
