Medical Assistant Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

• One of the following is required:
• CCMA - National Healthcareer Association with diploma upon hire
• CCMA with one year of experience upon hire
• CMA - American Association of Medical Assistants upon hire
• RMA - American Medical Technologists upon hire

A Brief Overview

Responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and families while collaborating with healthcare team members.

What you will do:

• Administer general nursing care, medications, and treatments as per standards.
• Prepare equipment and assist providers during procedures and examinations.
• Observe, record, and report patient conditions and responses.
• Manage appointment scheduling, prioritizing emergencies as needed.
• Prepare patients for examinations, obtaining health histories and vital signs.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries with appropriate physician input.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, medications, and wellness.
• Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and cleanliness.
• Ensure proper labeling of pathology specimens and perform quality control checks.
