Interested in working in the Southwest and seeking a rewarding career in emergency medicine (EM)? TeamHealth has an opportunity for a physician to join our emergency department (ED) team full-time at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. This facility supports a 26,000 annual volume ED that provides coverage in 12-hour shifts. There is a hospitalist program in place. The admit rate is 16%, and the EMR MedHost. The facility features a helicopter service and EMS base station. The transfer rate is 3-5%.
Physicians see a variety of cases from trauma to illness and patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric. The nursing staff is very experienced. Specialty support includes cath lab, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, GI, cardiology, interventional radiology, neurology, neurosurgery, OB/GYN, and more. Qualifications include board certified/prepared in emergency medicine or board certified/eligible in a primary care specialty with emergency medicine experience.

A medical staff of more than 33 affiliated physicians represents a broad cross-section of expertise in 31 medical specialties.
Havasu Regional Medical Center provides 24-hour emergency service with full-time emergency physicians on duty. The hospital has also earned an ALS Base Hospital Certificate from the State of Arizona, authorizing medical direction and support of pre-hospital care providers such as fire department and ambulance personnel.
