Overview
Start Date: October 1, 2025 End Date: May 31, 2026 La Quinta Resort and Club, located in La Quinta, California, seeks forty (40) full-time, temporary Room Attendants who will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all rooms, suites, and indoor common areas at La Quinta Resort and Club's property.
Essential Functions
Clean rooms/suites, as assigned, which includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows/tracks. Reports rooms as clean and available. Reports maintenance deficiencies to maintain room in compliance with hotel standards. Strip dirty linens/towels and remove used amenities from room/suite. Check maid cart for supplies, stock as needed. Greeting guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement. Replenish linen and guest amenities. Clean balconies, if applicable. Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests). Will report directly to Director of Housekeeping at La Quinta Resort and Club.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
The applicant must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to arrive at work on time and when scheduled. Physically able to move large objects such as carts, large bags of linen, and ironing board. Physically able to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, brooms, spray bottles Ability to read and recognize room/suite numbers. Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form. Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to all aspects of suite. Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations. Experience Three (3) months of experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club required. Applicants must complete pre-employment background check at employer's expense. On-the-job training is provided.
Schedule
35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am 3:00pm or 10:00am 5:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
Housing
Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. The cost of housing is $250.00 per bi-weekly pay period. If used, the total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A refundable security deposit of $250.00 is required upon acceptance of housing per person, to be paid directly to La Quinta Resort and Club. The security deposit will be returned to the employee, based on the condition of the housing and at the employer's sole discretion, at the end of the employment period.
Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $19.02/Hr. - $19.02/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
