The Group Retiree Actuarial Pharmacy team supports all Employer Group Waiver Plan (EGWP) pharmacy pricing and any analytic work to ensure accurate and timely rates. This role is responsible for supporting pharmacy client pricing, leading monthly reports, working with internal platforms to support the pricing season / updates, completing pricing studies and other ad hoc requests. Given the material changes to Part D as defined by the Inflation Reduction Act, this role plays a critical role in supporting quality, on-time pricing, and working closely with our business partners (e.g., underwriting).

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. This role may include travel to the home office a couple times per year.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working closely with pricing / project leads and other analysts to prepare, manage, review, and complete pricing requests for EGWP Part D
• Developing, leading, and ensuring completion of Part D pricing studies to support rate development strategy, including reviewing emerging plan experience and trends
• Assisting actuarial leadership and completing ad hoc analyses using Excel and SAS
• Completing updates to maintain pharmacy pricing process in internal systems
• Working cross-functionally to assist business partners and peers with technical and/or pricing questions and provide peer review

This role will allow the individual to dive deeper and build their Part D pharmacy knowledge and support client pricing. This is a rapidly changing and dynamic business area which will allow the individual the opportunity to not only learn more about the pharmacy landscape but also gain an understanding of how changes impact clients / members along with the business. This role gives individuals an opportunity to advance their project management skills, analytic skills (e.g., reviewing pricing trends / emerging experience, developing pricing studies), technical skills (e.g., Excel, SAS), and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• ASA or near attainment of ASA
• 4+ years of actuarial experience
• Advance or higher level of proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with VBA, SQL, and/or SAS
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Medicare experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
