Graduate Engineer, Structural - EDGE Program

As an Entry Level Structural (Transmission Line) Engineer at Black & Veatch within the EDGE Program, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world's most critical infrastructure challenges. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients' goals while fostering your professional growth and advancing the success of Black & Veatch.

Black & Veatch's EDGE Program is a multi-year rotational experience designed to accelerate early-career growth. Participants rotate through 34 roles across different business areas including one field assignment to gain a full view of the project lifecycle. It's a launchpad for future leaders looking to explore career paths, gain hands-on experience, and learn directly from senior mentors. With quarterly development sessions focused on leadership and innovation, you'll build a strong foundation for long-term success. Chosen candidates will be located in/or relocate to Dallas (TX).

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatch policies and procedures
• Developing an understanding and complying with the Black and Veatch quality program
• Supporting continuous improvement and change management efforts
• Contributing to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
• Performing routine research and developing recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
• Collecting, assimilating, and managing data for engineering work
• Preparing basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis
• Understanding and adhering to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
• Sharing information with others as requested
• Coordinating with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership
• Focusing on the needs of internal clients (project team leadership) while attempting to gain basic understanding of external client's main interests and drivers
• May provide support to business development or pursuit activities
• Sharing current knowledge of latest technology and processes

Preferred qualifications include:

• A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Less than 2 years of professional engineering or construction experience (internships do not count toward years of experience)
• Intermittent travel to project sites
• Short-term and long-term relocation to project sites and regional offices

Minimum qualifications require:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• All applicants must have work authorization and will not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
