Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Government & Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our Chicago boutique law firm. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex litigation matters, both at the trial and appellate levels, across a range of industries. You will provide strategic legal advice and representation in collaboration with colleagues and clients to achieve favorable outcomes.

Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Representing clients in all aspects of litigation, including court hearings, arbitration, and mediations.
• Managing a diverse case load of government and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Developing and implementing litigation strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
• Conducting thorough and detailed legal research and analysis.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Providing advice and counsel to clients on labor relations issues, including collective bargaining, labor disputes, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Working collaboratively with other members of the legal team and clients to ensure a cohesive approach to case management.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications

• A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in government and commercial litigation, with a focus on labor relations.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Proven track record of success in litigating complex cases, both at the trial and appellate levels.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a favorable manner for our clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to manage a diverse case load and work effectively under pressure.
• High level of professional integrity and ethics.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
