Geotechnical Project Engineer

This opportunity entails being responsible for the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. You will consult with the project manager to perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery. The role involves applying engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects of varying size and complexity. You will leverage technical knowledge and experience to address design-related issues, work closely with the project manager, and complete tasks to meet project schedules. Developing conceptual and detailed designs and calculations using current drawing and technical tools is also part of the role. Mentoring, training, and reviewing the work of junior engineers, as well as contributing to successful project delivery, are key responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within discipline.
• Oversee the accuracy of the project team’s work within the technical discipline and guide team members.
• Coordinate technical aspects with clients and teaming partners.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring

• Understanding of the impacts of decisions on technical design and work planning.
• Effective coordination across multiple technical disciplines.
• Ability to prepare high-quality deliverables on time and within scope and budget.

What We Prefer

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 8 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Transportation Infrastructure experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
