General Counsel

Join Uline as General Counsel and guide a high-performing legal team for North America’s leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging supplies. As a trusted advisor to executive leadership, you will navigate complex legal matters and help drive our continued growth.

Corporate Headquarters: 12575 Uline Drive, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the Legal and Risk Management teams, directing daily operations and special projects for 12 lawyers and support staff.
• Select and oversee outside and in-house counsel in representing Uline and its owners in litigation, agency actions and other disputes.
• Participate in company leadership meetings to provide legal advice that minimizes risk and aligns with business strategy.
• Develop, negotiate and review key contracts.
• Stay ahead of legal and regulatory trends to support proactive and informed business recommendations.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 20+ years of experience in both law firm and corporate settings.
• Licensed in Wisconsin or eligible as in-house counsel.
• Proven experience managing in-house attorneys and advising executives, preferably as General Counsel at a large corporation.
• Industry background in warehousing and distribution is a plus.
