Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role as a caregiver for residents in long-term care. In this position, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and support with daily living activities under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN). Responsibilities include:

• Delivering age-appropriate care based on each resident's physical and psychological needs as outlined in their care plan.
• Assisting residents with essential daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal support.
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs and reporting changes in resident conditions to nursing staff.
• Applying proper techniques and equipment for safe transferring and mobility support.
• Helping create a positive dining experience and assisting with food preparation.
• Providing psychosocial support and maintaining a clean, safe living environment for residents.
• Participating in wellness and recreational programs to enhance residents’ quality of life.

As a member of our dedicated nursing team, you will also be responsible for maintaining infection prevention protocols and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment appropriately. Additionally, you may assist nursing staff with other procedures and support various departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is highly advantageous.
• Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the State Board of Nursing required; training and certification support will be provided.
• Completion of annual competency testing and a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education each year.
• Must meet state requirements for any additional registered guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on facility needs.
