Job Overview:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide compassionate, resident-centered care to seniors in a long-term care setting. You’ll work under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) to assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their physical and psychological needs are met per their individualized care plans.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering supportive care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs.
• Assisting residents with mobility and transfers using proper techniques.
• Facilitating a pleasant dining experience and aiding with meal service.
• Documenting resident interactions and reporting changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Providing light housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a clean environment.
• Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.

Qualifications:

While a high school diploma or GED is preferred, it is not required. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and have a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. If not currently certified, acceptance into a training program to obtain certification within four months of hiring is necessary. Prior experience in long-term care is a plus, and successful completion of annual competency testing and continuing education is required.
