Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) will serve as a caregiver in our long-term care facility. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You are expected to understand and deliver age-appropriate care in line with the residents' physical and psychological needs as outlined in the care plan.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing assistance with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs.
• Supporting residents with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and walking while using proper techniques and equipment.
• Assisting with dining experiences and ensuring residents receive appropriate meals and hydration.
• Documenting interactions and care outcomes, and communicating any changes to the charge nurse.
• Maintaining cleanliness in living areas and assisting with laundry services.
• Encouraging residents to participate in wellness and recreational programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Prior experience in long-term care is preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or must be enrolled in training to obtain certification.
• Completing yearly competency testing and maintaining continuing education credits (minimum of 12 hours annually).
