Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate care to residents in our long-term care facility. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will deliver resident-centered nursing care and assist with daily living activities, tailored to meet the individual needs of each resident.

The NA’s responsibilities include:

• Helping residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Obtaining and recording vital signs.
• Supporting residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking, using proper techniques.
• Preparing and serving meals while ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Assisting with food intake and hydration.
• Documenting resident care and changes in condition.
• Maintaining cleanliness in residents’ living areas.
• Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16; prior experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required to have a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or be enrolled in a program to obtain it within four months of employment.
• Must complete yearly competency testing and continuing education (minimum of 12 hours annually).
• If applicable, must be registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
