Position Summary
As an FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities. You will work closely with business leaders to provide insights that drive profitability, efficiency, and strategic growth. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance financials, actuarial concepts, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Partner with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to understand key drivers of profitability.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis and KPI dashboards.
- Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis for strategic initiatives and capital planning.
- Assist in the preparation of board materials, investor presentations, and regulatory filings.
- Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus).
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills; experience with PowerBI is a plus.
- Familiarity with insurance-specific metrics (e.g., loss ratios, combined ratios, reserves).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
