Overview: An emerging AI company in San Francisco is seeking a talented Founding Senior Engineer (Infrastructure) to help shape and build our foundational infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team to scale, refine, and optimize infrastructure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in our growth and success, driving key projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end scalability projects, ensuring robust performance as the company grows
- Develop, implement, and maintain infrastructure processes that support our expanding operations
- Define and meet infrastructure goals around monitoring, antifragility, and resilience
- Collaborate closely with the team, providing insights and support for distributed systems scaling
- Contribute to the hiring and onboarding of future infrastructure team members
- 5+ years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years specializing in infrastructure
- Minimum of 1 year working in a fast-paced environment (under 100 employees)
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and proficiency with Pulumi or similar distributed system scaling tools
- Previous experience as a Founding Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or DevOps Engineer
- Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco 6 days a week alongside the core team
- Salary up to $220,000
