The Tempo by New York Times Square is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. Our stylish hotel is in Times Square, steps from restaurants, shops, and Broadway theaters. Our Outdoor Terrace overlooks the heart of the city. Our restaurant also offers iconic NYC views.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing unionized teams and possess a minimum of 12 years of food and beverage management experience within a similarly sized hotel. They should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to mentor staff and drive team performance. A solid understanding of elevated steps of service is essential, along with beverage knowledge, experience in crafting menus, managing inventory, and overseeing beverage ordering.

Shift Pattern: Full availability is needed for this position.

Salary: $80,000 / annually.

What will I be doing?

As a Food & Beverage Manager, you would be responsible for directing and organizing activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
• Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
• Help ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.
• Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff.
