Food and Beverage Manager

Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager to join the team in Chicago's Gold Coast!

This Forbes 4-Star property located in downtown Chicago has a Parisian-style charm with 318 rooms, 8,500 square feet of banquet space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes a restaurant, cafe, and in-room dining.

In this role, you will oversee in-room dining managing a team of 14, reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, and assisting in the other two food and beverage outlets as needed.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader with a talent for building comradery, a drive for delivering excellence, and champions a positive culture. At least 2 years of food and beverage leadership experience in a luxury hotel is required. Prior experience in a union environment and in-room dining are a plus.

What will I be doing?

As a Food & Beverage Manager, you will direct and organize the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.

• Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
• Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
• Help ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.
• Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff.

The annual salary range for this role is $65,000-$70,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
