A mid-sized CPG company is looking for a Director of Finance to join their team. In this elevated role, the Director of Finance will be responsible for driving profitability, monitoring sales, customer and pricing analysis, and program strategy. To be successful in this role, the Director of Finance should be hands-on, have management experience, and be collaborative.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
2. 10+ years of finance experience
3. Advanced Excel
4. Experience managing staff
5. Must have sales and/or commercial finance experience

What will you do in this Director of Finance role?

1. Develop and execute the financial strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
2. Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership to drive business growth and profitability.
3. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
4. Develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize profitability while maintaining competitive market positioning.
5. Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to inform pricing decisions.
6. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure pricing strategies support commercial goals.
7. Lead the FP&A function, including the preparation of financial reports, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
8. Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to the executive team.
9. Monitor financial performance and ensure that the organization meets or exceeds its financial targets.
10. Partner with commercial teams to provide financial guidance on pricing, contracts, and negotiations.
11. Develop financial models to assess the impact of pricing changes, new product launches, and other commercial initiatives.
12. Support business case development for new investments, partnerships, and acquisitions.
13. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and drive business performance.
15. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
16. Manage financial risks, including currency fluctuations, credit risks, and market volatility.
