nJob Description
nThis is a Field Service Role supporting customers throughout parts of the US, Central and South America as needed. This position will be based out of Auburn, Alabama, West Chester, OH, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX. Travel expectations are up to 100% (Road Warrior). The Field Service Engineer will work on a team or individually, to install, perform preventive maintenance, and repair on Colibrium additive manufacturing machines. These activities contribute to customer's production machines operating at peak performance, producing quality parts, meeting production schedules, and meeting or exceeding quality & industry standards.
nRoles and Responsibilities:
n• The Field Service Engineer will work on a team or individually, to install, perform preventive maintenance, and repair.
n• Perform total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
n• Work with Service and Additive engineering teams to resolve complicated mechanical, electrical, electronic, and /or process problems for customer machines.
n• Help in all areas of site preparation (coordination of labor and materials) with minimal supervision.
n• Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures.
n• Maintain effective quality systems and programs according to the GE Aerospace Service Quality Policy Statement.
n• Responsibly complete all administration tasks on time (e.g., ensure timely completion of Service Bulletins and PMs inspections documentation for assigned accounts).
n• Maintain daily interface with Customer technicians on equipment status to ensure satisfaction of primary customers.
nRequired qualifications:
n• B.Sc. Engineering / Associates degree and 2 years technical experience, a High School Diploma and 5 years field service or electrical / mechanic technician experience, or equivalent military experience.
n• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business requires.
n• Willingness to work Weekends and Holidays as needed.
n• Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem-solving techniques.
n• Shows Initiative, high standards, motivation and outside of the box thinking.
n• Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information.
n• Demonstrated ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology.
n• Excellent communication skills, listening skills, and interpersonal skills.
n• Strong customer skills and deals tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion (e.g., influences rather than directs).
n• Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

nAdditional Information:
nThe base pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for overtime. This posting is expected to close on Sept. 12th, 2025.
