About the Role:

Join our dynamic team as an Experienced Industrial Electrician, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our mill operations. Your expertise will ensure our equipment runs smoothly, ultimately contributing to our production goals while prioritizing safety.

Your Responsibilities:

Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all mill electrical and electronic equipment.
Perform detailed tasks such as wiring circuits, replacing components, and fixing electronic devices.
Collaborate with vendors to identify necessary parts and make recommendations to the Supervisor.
Interpret and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Program AC and DC variable speed drives for optimal performance.
Enhance power distribution systems, motor control centers (MCC), and switch gears.
Install electrical equipment with precision and care.
Commit to achieving production targets while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Evaluate maintenance practices regularly for continuous improvement.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Familiarity with Lock out/Tag out safety procedures.
Experience conducting Field Level Hazard Risk Assessments (FLHRA).
Knowledge of electrical circuitry and components including breakers, motors, controllers, and control devices.
Expertise in predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.
Computer and PLC programming skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Adept at functioning independently while being a team player.

Preferred Experience:

Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLC5 and ControlLogix 5000.
Familiarity with Allen Bradley Panelviews and communications systems such as Devicenet and Ethernet.
Experience with scanning and optimization systems in the lumber industry (e.g., Porter, USNR).
Knowledge of process network communication systems including Ethernet and fiber optics.
