Obd Certification Data Solutions Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in emissions and vehicle certification, is seeking an OBD Certification Data Solutions Engineer to join their team. As an OBD Certification Data Solutions Engineer, you will be part of the Emissions & OBD Certification Department supporting global collaboration and innovative data analysis initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent teamwork abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Long Beach, CA

What's the Job?

• Support development and maintenance of certification-related tools and processes.
• Conduct testing and data analysis in emissions & OBD areas, investigate issues, and identify root causes.
• Learn emissions and OBD certification activities to contribute effectively within the team.
• Identify opportunities for automation within OBD Certification processes.
• Create reports and data pipelines for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience (3-5 years).
• Proficiency in Python and related libraries for automation and data processing.
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as INCA and MATLAB.
• Knowledge of CARB OBD2 regulations and emissions certification processes.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
