Lead Inspector

We are seeking a Lead Inspector with a current NYS EPA Lead Inspector license to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of field experience conducting environmental or hazardous material inspections and hold a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, public health, or a related field. An Asbestos Inspector certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Collect environmental samples and prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, HUD, and NYS Department of Health regulations.
• Maintain accurate field records and documentation.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Follow all health, safety, and quality standards during field operations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current NYS EPA Lead Inspector license (in good standing).
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant field or laboratory experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

• NYS Asbestos Inspector certification.
• Familiarity with lead-safe work practices, sampling methods, and related environmental regulations.
• Experience using data collection tools and field inspection software.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
