In our 1:1 ABA setting, you will work directly with children (ages 18 months to 8 years) using ethical, evidence-based ABA methods in a nurturing, center-based atmosphere. As a Behavior Therapist, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Implementing one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism maximize their potential by following treatment plans, collecting data, recording insurance notes, and utilizing feedback from supervisors during observation sessions.
• Supporting child development through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities tailored for early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years).
• Collaborating with a dedicated team to enhance treatment effectiveness, ensure safety, and create a fun working environment.
• Interacting with children through playful activities, including running, dancing, singing, reading, and more, to foster a joyful atmosphere.
• Communicating positively with peers, families, and supervisors to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and address personal needs.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, including the capacity to lift up to 30 lbs and quickly move around to engage and ensure safety for all.
• Maintaining a therapy-friendly environment by keeping play areas tidy, organized, and engaging for children.
• Ability to multitask in assessing and prioritizing actions, decisions, or conversations to maintain safety and effectiveness.
• Team-oriented approach to work cohesively with the center, neighborhood, and regional teams; may include travel to support nearby centers.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Minimum age of 18 years and a high school diploma or GED are necessary.

Complete the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification process within 20 days of employment, involving a 40-hour training curriculum, hands-on competency assessment, exam registration, and passing the exam.

Compensation Ranges Based on Experience and Education:

• Associates/High School: $16.20 - $23.50
• Bachelors: $17.50 - $27.00
• Masters: $19.00 - $28.00

Your first raise is awarded upon RBT certification, usually within 21 days.

Preferred Experience:

• Childcare roles (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health professionals and advocates (QMHPs, behavioral health technicians)
• Experience as camp counselors or volunteers
• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields are advantageous.
• Experience as paraprofessionals or direct support assistants is valued.
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is essential.
• An eagerness to contribute to a caring, team-oriented culture.
