Your work will directly support children in early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years) as you use ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a nurturing, center-based setting.
As an Autism Behavior Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Applying one-on-one ABA therapy principles to assist children with Autism in reaching their full potential. You will read and utilize treatment plans, carry out therapy sessions, collect data, write necessary documentation, and integrate feedback from supervisors.
- Encouraging the developmental growth of children through engaging, fun therapeutic activities.
- Collaborating with a supportive team to enhance treatment effectiveness, ensure safety, and maintain a positive environment.
- Engaging children in play through various activities such as running, dancing, singing, reading, and playing games, all while fostering a joyful atmosphere.
- Communicating effectively with families, peers, and supervisors to coordinate activities and celebrate achievements.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, including lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, and moving quickly to engage with young children safely.
- Maintaining a tidy and organized therapy environment.
- Multitasking and prioritizing safety while managing various responsibilities.
- Working cohesively with teams across centers, which may include travel to support nearby locations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
All new hires must complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by finishing a 40-hour training curriculum and successfully passing the board's exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:
- Associates/High School: $16.20 - $23.50
- Bachelors: $17.50 - $27.00
- Masters: $19.00 - $28.00
Entry-level candidates can earn their first raise upon achieving RBT certification, typically within 21 days.
Experience that could be beneficial includes:
- Childcare roles (nannying, babysitting, teaching, tutoring)
- Mental health positions or advocacy roles
- Camp counseling, volunteering, or teaching Sunday school
- Degrees in education, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields
- Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support staff, or life skills assistants
- A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- A desire to join a caring, team-oriented culture
