Energy Auditor

Site Inspector

We're seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Site Inspector to support residential and commercial energy efficiency programs across the NYC metro area. In this field-based role, you'll conduct inspections, perform diagnostic testing, verify contractor installations, and help improve building performance through energy-saving solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field inspections of HVAC, lighting, and building envelope systems
• Conduct diagnostic testing such as blower door and combustion analysis
• Verify the quality and completion of contractor-installed energy efficiency upgrades
• Document findings and ensure work complies with program and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with property owners, contractors, and internal teams
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, client records, and compliance documentation
• Travel locally to project sites, with occasional evening or weekend availability

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in energy efficiency, HVAC, building inspections, or related field
• Familiarity with building systems, energy audits, or utility programs
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in customer-facing environments
• OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
