Interventional & Endoscopy multi-specialty Suite is hiring an Endoscopy Technician to join their team! LPN preferred.
Specialties include:

Gastroenterology
General Surgery
Interventional Radiology
Vascular
Urology
GYN

Responsibilities:

Assist the provider with exam and treatments as necessary.
Prepare and properly maintain the procedure rooms.
Maintain the principles of high-level disinfection and proper endoscope handling.
Gather and process specimens and appropriate paperwork according to office policy. Perform selected tests as indicated (pregnancy test, blood glucose).
Practice aseptic technique and universal precautions appropriately.
Dispose of any medical and hazardous waste as mandated.
Accurately document any procedures or pertinent information offered according to suite policy in the Electronic Medical Record.
Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. PFT, EKG,
nebulizer, medication administration and immunizations)
Administer and record vaccines.

Compensation: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour

High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
Experience in an endoscopy/surgical care suite preferred but not required.
Current BLS certification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills.
Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Valid NYS LPN license preferred.
Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols preferred.
