VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT is seeking an experienced, passionate veterinary professional to join our Emergency & Critical Care team at our 24-7 general, emergency, and specialty hospital in West Hartford, CT. Job Description: As an extension of the medical and client service team, the ER Liaison is the connection between the client and the medical team. This is a great role for someone with strong communication skills looking for an opportunity to move their career forward in the veterinary field. Job Duties Include:

• Create a streamlined process for the client to provide care to their pet;
• Assist clients in understanding the estimates for their pet's medical care;
• Provide a point of contact for owners while their pets are hospitalized;
• Organize the documents and medications in preparation for discharges;
• Perform patient discharges when applicable;
• Coordinate the transfer of patients from the primary veterinarians;
• Assist with acquiring patient's records from the primary veterinarians;
• Ensure patient's primary veterinarians are notified and provided medical updates in a timely manner;
• Monitor incoming radiology reports and blood work results to emergency doctors for follow-up;
• Input and check the charges to ensure accuracy

Job Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $20 - $25 depending on experience
