Job Description

As a Elite Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrols in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a retail location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to incidents as needed. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter security-related risks in a retail environment.
• Follow all company and site-specific protocols regarding the handling and storage of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5+ years of Armed Security experience. 
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if required by Texas state law.
• Possess current CPR and first aid certification, or be willing to obtain it post hire.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
